Throttle Body from Apex

Just got my new VMAX throttle body from Apex. Took it out the box and installed it within about 30 minutes. Was a very easy install.

Should I notice any changes right away or will it take a few miles for any computer learning changes to occur?

Thanks again Apex!

No fuse pull needed. Just install and go. You won't notice a HP increase, but from what they say, your throttle response should be a bit crisper.

Yup, I know the throttle response is supposed to be better, I am just wondering if the computer takes a bit to learn a new flow or something like that.

As far as I was aware, the fuse pull is not necessary on a custom tune.

You'll notice it right off the bat. No need to plug a fuse. Just bolt on and have fun!

I had one installed at C5Fest in August. I truly noticed the improved response immediatley and it was great. Only "trouble" is now I'm used to it and it doesn't seem "special" anymore but that's something I gladly live with.

Thanks for your order. There is no lag time, it goes to work immediately.

That is why the mod bug is so dangerous. You install something and fall in love but over time it becomes the norm. Then the hunt is on for the next thing.

i need one of these.....

is a ported throttle body something that would benefit from a tune update after the install? or would that not really be necessary?

well not needed is one thing. but would there be a greater performance gain if a re-tune was performed?

No. You could spend the money/time on it but I've tried and literally gained 3-4 more.

And that could have been a number of other things aside from my tuning abilties like a big gust of wind or chill in the intake air. LOL.

Don't forget about farting next to the air intake!
