Mass air flow sensor bad?

Last night I installed my cold air inductions intake. It would not idle unless the mass air flow sensor was unplugged. I unplugged the battery to reset to ecm, still wont idle unless I leave it unplugged. Did I mess something up with the sensor?

I would start by cleaning your MAF sensor. While I doubt a high end brand like CAI would over oil the filter, I'd start there. Definitely sounds strange though. Can the MAF on the LLT be positioned either direction? It can only read flow in one direction, and I know the LFX MAF only sits properly one way.

Check for leaks near the maf and again make sure it is facing the right direction. They are usually set so they can only in stall one way but you never know. It would definitely cause the issue you're running into

I bought a new one from auto zone no more issues

Apparently the wife told me I dropped it last night and it bounced off the ground so I can only assume it messed up something inside, I got a new Bosch one just like the 1 I pulled out works perfect

Yeah, the "dropped the part and and it broke" step. Hate that.
