Is anyone as confused by this as I am? I am of the mindset the LT is a V6 and a 2SS is a V8 so to put headers on a v8 made for a v6 is imossible let alone Insane?!

as far as install... usually... just take off the stock manifolds and bolt up the headers, most will require one or two cuts to attach to the stock exhaust, I haven't had a chance to look at my car and see if there are clamps and where.. borrow or rent some time at a lift, save you a lot of hard work.

I don't know about these, but on the 4th gen F-bodies it was a lot easier to install the headers from the bottom. Some jack stands and a creeper will make things a lot easier probably.

yeah on any car you have to go from the bottom there is no way to fit them through the top about the only vehicle you can go from the top is something like a 50-60's truck thats it, there's no other way on any modern car
just slide them through the bottom, bolt up top, might take a few hours but not that difficult just use some wobble extensions and things will go a lot smoother |

On a 66 nova if you get fender well long tube headers you can put them from the top.

I've not seen the Camaro's engine bay, but I do know this; even if you have the engine out, it does not make swapping to headers any easier. On top of that, if you're going to LT headers, you're going to need either a new exhaust system, or a few new parts to hook up to the original.
If you have no idea how to install LT's, get a shop to install them and a new system, that has done this before...or you're going to be paying out the ass for them to design one on the spot. Shops I went to around here said that they keep "plans" for each vehicle that they do exhausts for. |

I was hoping to keep the stock exhaust piping since I'm just going to use the cutout diverters from another post

Any decent exhaust shop should be able to bend new piping to make it fit. If it won't fit there by the tranny, there will probably be enough room somewhere farther back.
