Is it possible to re-attach the rear bowtie once removed?

I'm looking to get my rear painted (blackout) and the body shop recommends to take off the rear bowtie to do a better job. It's attach with 3M tape so my question is can it be re-attached? If so whan can you use?

just pick up some 3m double-sided tape and re-apply to the backing of the emblem

Well, I used plastic from an old credit card to do that. I wound up scratching a bit of the clear coat, but I didn't care.

I then used goof off and goo gone to remove the adhesive on the bowtie.

I tried dental floss and that didn't work. Mostly because of the posts on the 2010 model.

Went to a local vinyl shop and bought some adhesive remover. Spray on (smells like oranges), and that gummy shit comes off and no danger of damaging the paint!

Clean it all up real nice.

Buy some 3m tape, cut it, and slap that baby back on!
