Something a little different Atlanta folks. A morning at the Gun Range

Guns and hot rods....do you need anything else?

MINOR CHANGE ON THE TIME.....MOVED TO 9:00 - 11:00 instead of 8:00 - 10:00

Sat 03/28/2015
9:00AM - 11:00AM

Afterwards we will be getting a little lunch near the Mall of Georgia and see what else from there.

If you want to attend send me a message. We need to have a minimum of 15 committed. Feel free to invite a friend or bring the wife/husband/etc.
I think our best bet is going to The Georgia Gun Club near the Mall of Georgia (Lawrenceville side). http://georgiagunclub.com/

They have a clean, state of the art facility. The gun selection is large for those wanting to shoot something new. Prices are reasonable, and for any rifle shooters, they have a 100 yard indoor range (yes, 100 yards indoors).

Here is the breakdown.

Group events are a minimum of 15 shooters
Saturday mornings 9:00-11:00 (we would have the entire facility to ourselves)

Prices are as follows

$35 per person Facility Rental:

•NRA Range Safety Officer provided for range activities and Safety Briefing
•NRA Certified Instructor available
•Use of pistol lanes
•Use of 100 yard rifle lanes
•Use of Simulator
•EXCLUDES AMMUNITION – RENTAL FIREARMS MUST USE GEORGIA GUN CLUB AMMUNITION/CUSTOMER FIREARMS MAY USE CUSTOMER SUPPLIED AMMUNITION
Does Not include firearm Rental nor eye/ear protection

Pistol rentals at $10.00/hr for hand guns and $15.00/hr for rifles.

Personally I think that if we have 15+ people there, we will have enough variety to go around. I certainly have no problem with folks trying my guns if they want. You can always rent something if you see something special, but you’re not locked in.

I will need to put down a 50% deposit that becomes non-refundable 2 weeks from the event date so we need serious commitments, not a bunch of no shows. Also, remember family members and friends are welcome. We will have the whole place so there is room unless we bring an insanely large group. They have 38,000 square feet and 28 shooting lanes.
Check out their website, I think you will be impressed. Nicest range I have seen. http://georgiagunclub.com/

I will have to check and see if it's my Saturday to work or not but I would definitely be interested in going. Especially the 100 yard indoor range! Have you received much interest from any of the other locals?

Yes, I have had a pretty good response. I have about 12 people who have said they will be going and about 5 who are a maybe. I kinda want to try and have 20 that are sure so if something unexpected happens we are still at the 15 minimum. With 28 lanes we should have plenty of room.

Minor change to the event time.

We are reserved for 9:00 - 11:00 on Saturday 03/28/15.

Afterwards there will be a short drive for some lunch near the Mall of Georgia and see what happens from there.

I think we will be fine on the 15 person minimum but we can certainly accommodate anyone that would like to attend or if you want to meet up afterwards for lunch just drop me a line so I can make the proper arrangements.

Been too long since I have seen some folks on the forum here. My car might still be under the knife (again) but still good to see folks.
