Where did you find this information? I was unaware it was available. I sure as hell couldn't find it. The OHV 5.0 (or 4.9) had 195cc intake ports...

no, the iron head from ford has 124cc intake ports.

99-01 intake ports are 175cc

05-10 3v intake ports are 175cc.

everything has flip flopped....chevy has huge ports, and ford has small high velocity high flow ports.

those 'headers' are anti an reversion design. they are not as good as long tubes. they are marginally better than the iron headers ford already uses. since 2005 ford has used pulse length tuned iron headers.

You CANNOT effectively compare one family of cylinder heads to another and bring up port volume. It is 100% irrelevant, unless the 2 cylinder heads have exactly the same length from the intake sealing area to the valve opening. Imagine a cylinder head that was 2 feet wide feeding a 350 chevy. The intake port is the diameter of a quarter (think paper towel tube) but 1.75 feet long. The head would have an enormous 375cc intake port. How do you think it would flow compared to a 227cc AFR head? You can compare minimum cross-sectional area. That is what matters. That is the pinch point that dictates a lot of the flow (not to mention the valve pinch point, lol) Having more valves is almost always a good thing.

Where are you getting your information from? I can't find ANY specs that specific about the new 5.0. As said, it really doesn't matter, but I'm interested.

You're right about the old 5.0 though, I was thinking of some brodix heads.

2011 Mustang production may be on hold

There appears to be some issue, similar to what happened to the Camaro, that is putting production on hold. A couple people seem to know the issue but aren't spilling.

EDIT: it's unclear if production is stopping or if they're going through already built cars to fix issues, similar to the Camaro.

So there is an issue and nobody knows what it is...
but it's similar to what happend to the camaro, but nobody know what it is?
so how's it similar to what happend to the camaro, or is it just speculation at this point?

I think his point was that the hold up, I will call it, was similar to what the Camaro went through. Not necessarily the same exact problem.

And I must qualify this by saying I had no idea the Camaro went through a slight hiccup.

I think they let the camaro out and recalled it later on instead of fixing it before they left the factory.
not 100% on that.

No, the first built Camaro's were held and fixed for quality issues before being sent out.
