Good thing you didn't have a catch can on there or that warranty would have been toast..

ok, so I've been under the weather a bit, (pun intended) but I'm on the mend and hopefully will be able to hit the garage tomorrow or the next day to reinstall my alternator.

I have plans to attend a Power car gathering in Portland Texas this weekend. Several friends of mine that drag race have invited me down and say its a lot of fun. I'll trailer the car down then unload it at the gathering... While my car is street legal, and insured, I don't want to put that many road miles on it.

Looking forward to seeing some other fast cars...

OK, so a change in plans... $#&*^&^&$%& I just found out I am leaving on the "family vacation" on Saturday... Glad I get informed ahead of time...

I'll certainly enjoy it but would much rather go into the mountains this time of the year as opposed to the beach when I work offshore... Oh well... I already checked and the huge car show and cruise in Gulfport Mississippi isn't until October... Dang it...

Lol...

OK, so another change in plans... The bride left with her parents this am for vacation, and I'm waiting until Monday to find out if I have to go back to Houston for work. If so, then off to work, if not, then I'll drive to Mississippi to meet up with the family.

So, after getting up too early this am, I dropped Deb off at her parents so her car could stay in the garage. Upon returning home I took the time to re-install my alternator. With the motor plates and various other components, it was a challenge... But, I must have done something right, it's in, I pumped out the dry sump pan, and she fired right up... I let her idle for a bit to bring the fluids up to temp and shut her down.

This evening I'll take a short run up to Cabelas for a car gathering. I wanted to go to Portland Texas this evening but ran out of time since I would have to go get my trailer, 45 minutes one way, then back, then load the car and drive over three hours... I'll try to make that event next month...

Now to start figuring out the CO2 system for the waste gates, and get a replacement clutch line for the cobbled together line currently in the car that we made at the Mile after smoking the original clutch line... It never ends...

True,

So, apparently if this car is left with the batteries off for three weeks, there is something in the system that needs a relearn.

On my way to a Saturday night car gathering, I tried to momentarily put her into boost and nada... nothing... Thought it might be fouled plugs, but no, so I talked to corey and he wants to look at it...

It'll be a week of more before I get down there since on Monday, I'm either going to Gulfport MS for vacation or to Houston for work. Time will tell...

Another anomaly is my primary fuel pump is really quiet compared to normal... Fuel pressure is spot on but we will look and see if there is a ground issue or something else going on... Fortunately, I have a spare...

Could you try a trickle charger or a maintainer for the batteries?

I could but I don't think low battery voltage had anything to do with it. we'll have Alan look at that part and see how to further approach this. The only reason I had the batteries shut off was due to the alternator being out of the car.

I think the fluxcapacitor needs to be recharged.

Memory is a real issue with on board computers. We have run into the issue on cars with cut off switches and mostly BCMs, but other 'computers' as well.

Hmmmm, I'll have to ask Alan if there is a safe way to bypass the battery shut off with a 12 volt signal just for the ProEFI box...

Hey Brother, I know where you are, and that you are busy as a cut worm... I'm really glad your shop has taken off as well as it has.

I still plan on trying to run Mojave some day soon and will be looking you up when I do...

Some mutual friends and I have been picking on you... In a good way... Does the name Toby ring a bell?
