I like that idea. Good ol American timber. Obviously still need something when wheel removal is required. Does anyone make heavy duty stands domestically or in countries with acceptable quality control? I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I'm willing to pay more for safe equipment.

I have the old HF orange jack stands and they work perfectly. I don't know what they did to the newer versions.

It's not easy to find jacks and jack-stands NOT made in China unfortunately. Even Snap-on's stands are made in china and "assembled" in USA.
