I hooked up a AEM UEGO wideband sensor. It came on fine, but doesn’t shut off. I wired the power wire to the + post in the engine bay on the drivers side. I now assume that that does not shut off when the key shuts off.

Where should I run the power from? The instructions were not helpful.

Yes, the (+) post is directly from the battery.

You can use any ignition source in the fuse/relay center.

If you need more power than the fuse says, use a relay for your main power
from the (+) post, and use an ignition source to trigger the relay.

This is an example of areas I am using for relay triggers.

There are also a couple of good switched 12v spots on the driver's side dash fuse panel, as well.

Which ones? My wires won’t reach the engine bay fuse box. I got an tap a fuse wired up and the ground in the drivers side fuse box.

Every fuse I plug it into though turns it on. I tried like five different fuses, ones that aren’t on when the key is off. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Do a search here on switched power source and there should be a thread that shows exactly how to tap into a fuse in the box to the left of the steering wheel. I used it years ago and it worked great.

Here's how I installed mine. AEM UEGO on my car as well. Very simple with a fuse tap. This is in driver's side fuse panel.

Bingo! That was it. Thanks for the pics.

Now all I got to do is mount the gauge. Not crazy about the options. I will probably get the defroster pod. But I maybe going to get a booster gauge and then one of the dual pod mounts would make sense. Decisions, decisions.
