I was watching the show too, and immediately thought of Scott's car...:(

If 3-time NASCAR champ Jimmie Johnson's 2002 Brickyard Camaro couldn't get over $20,000, you should wait it out, Scott...

Plus, Scott, I do not think you should EVER sell that "beauty"...I got to see it first-hand, in person, at Carlisle, PA in June and it is a "sweet ride"...

There are pictures of it in my Carlisle photo album, as well as in my NASCAR Social Group's photo album, if anyone wants to take a look at it...

i too had the oppritunity, no make that honor, to have my first Camaro sit-in, and ride along be with the legendary Thor. i even got to experience my first perma-grin! (see attached) haha. Godspeed my friend!

Great write up, obviously you are very passionate about the Camaro and Thor in particular. Isn't thors fate already sealed though with him being a preproduction A90xxxxx VIN vs production unit A91xxxxxx VIN and the vehicle build contains the OAR Pre Production RPO code? Did they title this car or did you run Manufacturer plates on it? If it was titled then you might see a chance of seeing it sold at auction, but honestly i cant imagine GM doing that. If they were to sale the preproduction unit then it would become the most valuable Camaro on the road immediately, VIN #1 and subsequently all of us R6P cars wouldn't be near as special if someone could get a preproduction unit. Hopefully Thor will be added to the GM Heritage Collection so that he may live.

I honestly loved your post. I laughed, admired, and got a little emotional near the end. You are truly a good writer and can make some boring story (not that this one was), and make it very interesting with your wording and speech. I do not have a Camaro, yet...waiting on my white RS...but I can completely relate to your passion. There are the few of us who adore, think, breathe, and love cars. I am one of those....daily....that is all I think about. Owning a new Camaro is my thought at this moment (and for the past few years).

Thanks for sharing your "Lovestory with Thor" as I just have to say that I have been really inspired. I hope GM continues to design cars that gives us this feeling. My husband and I too share that feeling of "Pride and Ownership" with all of our current and past GM vehicles and now I am masked with a "Perma-grin" until I pick up my new 2LT/RS "Besty B B" this week. Hey Scott. Great post, as always.

You put into words the passion many of us feel without being able to say it.

When my '69 project car "left me," I grieved for months. Some 15 years later the scar has barely healed.

Thor will live with us enthusiasts forever, thanks to you.

Hopefully those that make those decisions still read this forum, and think twice about letting him go to an......unfitting........end. The Camaro Ambassador (Thor = Scott and his efforts) should live on, beckoning those that come near him to "drive me one more time."

Its a principle that should not go un-noticed.
