Lunati Camshaft Ordered **VIDEO in Post #41**

Specs: Lunati 227/235 .619/.626 114 + 3

I asked for solid street manners and a nice cam lope. What do you guys think of these specs? Current mods in my sig. Any estimates on my final RWHP numbers?

Kind of hard to guess numbers. With intake, headers and cam I think it will be anywhere from 450 to 470 depending on dyno.

Great choice!! 439rwhp..depends on dyno. K&N intake, I would change that. Get LTs too..

Lunati is a good choice. If power is what you're looking for, swap to a better intake like the Cold Air Inductions intake and get longtubes (plenty of reliable budget headers if money is an option)

Solid power, respectable street manners and a nice cam lope are what I am most concerned with. Not crazy power, just a nice power band that pulls hard. I've had the K&N since I bought the car new in '11. I'm not changing it now. Are there better systems out there? Certainly, but with all the bolt-ons I currently have, 3-5hp is negligible. I'm not interested in longtubes either. I got a killer deal on the high-flow cats a few years back, then a buddy of mine was buying longtubes, so he sold me his shorty's for an awesome price too. I think I'll be happy with the cam upgrade. Complete Street Performance in West Chester, PA is doing the work. From all of the reviews I've read, Andrew is an LS Wizard.

I'm done with mods after this...I swear!

Dude you're leaving so much power on the table by utilizing the crappy K&N and those shorties. If you're gonna spend the money on doing a cam swap, a PROPER cam swap, then why would you half ass it and not compliment it with parts that are needed for you to utilize the power the cam will provide? Sure as hell seems like you're defeating the purpose. If you are gonna do it, do it right ffs............ LOL.

Simmer down, bud. Again, "better" intakes are good for another ~5hp. BTW, K&N engineered, designed and developed the intake on the '14-'15 Z/28. If it's good enough for a $75k track monster, it's good enough for me.
As for the long tube vs. shorty debate. I did extensive research prior to my purchase. After rummaging through tons of independent tests, long tubes seem to hold a 12-15hp advantage over shorty's coupled with high-flow cats. I couldn't justify the extra cost. Would I like to have that extra 12-15 extra hp? Sure. Am I going to go off on a disconnected diatribe over it and use foul language (FFS: "For F*ck Sakes")? Hell no. Sorry my set-up offended you so much.

Might break 440 i would guess. Thought you had long tubes. Think the other guys are just saying you are leaving a lot on the table. Headers/cam complement each other.

If trying for the most possible out of that cam... while the heads are off, have them shaved for 11 to 1 compression and ported. But only if adding LTs. Increasing the head flow and compression would be a waste without LTs. That cam will work perfect for 11 to 1.

Long tubes will have more gains than just 15hp with a cam. And if you're talking about spending 1200 on ARH or Kooks, yeah kinda pricey. Speed Engineering work great for a lot of us and are only 355 shipped. Wasn't trying to come off like an ass or whatever, just hate seeing people spend the coin on such a big upgrade and not utilize all of the supporting mods to go with.

I am quite happy with my speed engineering headers on my 2014. Quality is there for 1/4 of what i spent on my ARH on my 2011.

I paid 250 shipped.
