They come with a 30k warranty if you have a square setup. On our 1LEs with staggered wheels, they are only warranted to 15k.

Having claimed on this warranty before, find a really, really good shop to measure for you (preferably one which isn't a very close partner with Michelin & doesn't know the procedure). Michelin has some really crazy requirements that say the tread depth has to be exactly even across the whole tire & that it has to be almost bald at the deepest part of the tread. This is easily like 3-5k miles beyond what I'd consider safe to run on the street, so find a good shop which will fudge the numbers for you out of safety.

Right, excellent point.

Always seek out the business most willing to help you commit warranty claims fraud to get something replaced that you know damned well you used up yourself.

Oh - you're upset about track work being outside the intended use case. I'd suspect that Michelin would find the marbles and melted rubber stuck to your tires and deny your claim, but I've never tried to claim it after track work.

Much saferr to wear them bald enough to claim Michelin's warranty on track rather than on street, though.

One more question, did you notice a significant size different from the oem goodyears to the Michelins, I’ve heard they run smaller width wise.

Tire Rack lists tread width for Michelin as:

10" (front)
11.2" (rear)

Goodyear SC3:

10.6" (front)
11.5" (rear)

Exactly what I was about to say. read the fine print on the tire warranty, all sorts of loop holes. To get the 30K you have to rotate all 4 tires and they have to be the same size, otherwise its only 15K. And then its prorated.

The Conti ECS gets my vote for a great street and wet track tire.

The Conti EC Sport and the Michelin PS4S are extremely close to each other performance. They have very good grip in the dry, although a little less than the GY SC3 or other competition tires. They both have class-leading grip in the wet, to the point that many autocrossers use them as rain tires in the 200-treadware ("true street) tire classes. They are both excellent quality. You really can't go wrong either way. If I weren't competing on them, I'd save the cash and get the Contis.

The Michelin's are visibly narrower when they are mounted compared to the Goodyear's. It was the very first thing I noticed when my friend swapped his on his brand new ZL1.

I swapped the SC3R’s for the MPS4S on my ZLE for street use. They are excellent for that use. I won’t be tracking them, I saved the SC3R’s on a second set of Apex wheels for that duty. The MPS4S tires give around 8/10’s performance of the R compound tires at their limit. But, who is driving these cars at 8/10’s of their limits on the street anyways?

The MPS4S are smoother driving, heat up to safe driving temp much quicker, throw much less rocks, and last much longer than the 3R’s, all while giving you all the street able performance you can use safely on the street. What’s not to like? OK, the price...

They're also excellent in less than ideal conditions when it's a bit colder, humid and rainy, or even in a downpour. One can still drive the car "normally" no matter the intensity of the rain. Finally, they are very quiet, there is practically no tire noise (with the non-RF version, I don't know about the runflats).

Now if only they weren't so expensive. The PS4S was introduced in early 2017, so it's about time for Michelin to come out with a successor, maybe then... although the superseded Pilot Sports still aren't cheap

I put the 4S non-run flat on my GTR when it hit the market and now use it on my 1LE. It's the benchmark against which all ultra high performance tires are judged. Great on the street and track in both wet and dry, not in freezing temps.
