Mishimoto is FINALLY making a catch can for the L99!

Just got the email today.

Pre-orders are open now. Delivery scheduled for sometime in March.

While it's cool we get a specialized part for our version, what's the point really? Don't get me wrong, I am glad that the L99 matters to them.

Cleaner install maybe? Not trying to be a smart ass, I just don't get it. I am running a Mike Norris can without any issue. Tons of us L99 guys are running other brands, including Mishimoto cans without any issue.

Isn't it just a matter of a different port we have to connect to?

Had one on mine for over 2 years:

Guess they are making a kit now. Upgraded mine for brass fittings vs plastic...

Might Mouse Wild Race also:

From my understanding the LS3 cans had to be modified to fit the L99’s. This is just a direct kit.

Never thought I’d see a complaint for more aftermarket parts...

There are more than plenty choices. If they spent any money on r&d on this seems like waste of money to me for a engine specific catchcan.

Also don’t see need for a new thread on every new product released

Then what the heck did I buy?

I bought the catch can they had already and bolted it right on my L99.

Only thing that did not fit correctly was the part that fits the top radiator mount and rubber isolater.

It was a different shape.

I still made it work though.

I'm D1X ProCharged now making 760 rwhp, so I had to ugrade to a vented catch can from Mighty Mouse.

I've got the elite engineering catch can on my l99, direct bolt on: http://www.eliteengineeringusa.com/standard-catch-cans/

It's the first mod I did when I got the car over a year ago.

^I have the Elite Engineering Catch Can they are excellent quality, look very nice in the engine bay,and are made in the USA. I know someone that had the Mishimoto catch can and they had issues with it leaking and they are garbage made in China I would never buy one for my Camaro.

Why is a catch can needed on these cars in stock form? I mean I used to run these in my boosted applications, but seem to read here often that guys are doing this on bolt on cars. Just curious.

They suck in oil from the valley cover pcv and cycle it right back in the intake. Oil lowers fuel octane and dirties up the intake, etc., and lower fuel octane.

I ran E85 n/a and my can caught a decent amount.

Why does my intake look spotless without a CC?
