I don't like domestic...

Now before you start yelling at me read the post...

I was at home the other day and a friend of a friend was over. I have my computer hooked up to my tv and brought up the page. I asked him, "What do you think of this?" and showed him some pictures of the new Camaro. He looked at it, quickly looked away and said "I don't like domestic". He then walked out of the room.

HE DIDN'T EVEN GIVE IT A CHANCE! Personally I was pretty but I'm never one to start conflict and politely turned it off. What do you guys this of this?

(For the record my family owns all GM right now and we allways try to buy domestic first.)

that guy needs to quit being a closed-minded douche. (to be blunt) if he won't consider something just because of whether it's made by this country or another, he's retarded.

Since he's your friend I'll keep my comments to myself...
Suffice to say, he wouldn't have left my house without getting an hour-long speech, and several screams...

I might suggest you try to change his mind.

i know he's your buddy & all, but you asked... so that's what i think. for a little clarification: i ain't trying to say he's a horrible person or anything. i'm sure he's a great guy- after all, he's your friend. that's just a bad mindset to have towards things that are out of your comfort zone. people should look at most things on an individual basis and get the facts before they make a blatant judgment like that. sorry if my first response was upsetting.

I know a girl that used to owned a Chevy Vega years back, one day its alternator died, ever since then she has hated American cars and only drives Honda, she says that Hondas last forever and dont have problems. These types of people are closed minded, ignorant and pass judgement on all domestic cars just because of 1 incident 20-30years ago with 1 car, its insane to think that domestic cars have not improved since then and that they are inferior to forgein cars.

you are always going to have the people who hate domestics, but those are the same people that have trouble reminding themselves why they paid as much as they did for an import when our cars are blowing their doors off.

Unfortunately there are alot of people who are "close minded" when it comes to domestic automobiles.

IMO, they're just ignorant.

domestic hate today is largely based on myth. the build quality and reliability of GM and Ford today are on par with their Japanese counterparts, which have seens their quality drop a bit recently (while domestic makers improved theirs).

Thats a stupid attitude, and if he applies that to all of his life he isnt going very far with that kind of inflexibility.

When I bought my Magnum, I was very loyal to Dodge, but I knew if there was anything that came out that took my fancy I wasnt gonna shun it just cos it wasnt a Dodge. Thats just retarded!!

Hope he sees the light.
