Thumbs down Vararam - Not a Fan anymore

Vararam has probably the worse customer service that I have ever dealt with. I personally pride and based my own company off Customer Service so it's a really big deal to me.

I won't create a long thread about it. Basically, I ordered a part that won't fit my application. I sent an email asking they said I'm good to go. C5 has threads telling me other wise (should have checked).

Once I realized the item will not fit. I tried to call no answer. Called several times and left voice mails. No return phone call yet. I have received an email but it was real nonchalant.

Vararam remedy was to give me a store credit, but there's nothing they have that fits my application so why not just provide me a refund.

Very Very disappointed in this company. The product may be great but the customer service is definitely not up to par.

Vararam has sold hundreds (if not more) of their intakes to Camaro5 members. I'm sure the bad press of the internet will get them to help you out.

But, I will add that they have always treated me very well. They have always addressed any of my complaints and replaced my units at no cost to me. But I can see in your case, you just want a refund.

So reading your post you've gotten more than one reply via e-mail. The first to say it should fit (you found out otherwise) and the next to offer you a store credit. Sounds like there is dialogue going on. Did you ask for a refund and get a negative reply yet or are you still waiting.

PM Sales@Vararam here on C5. Not discounting your experience, but I've seen excellent customer service from them and since they are local to my area they also support the Camaro community very well here too.

Also, can you provide a little more info on your application and link to the thread you referenced.

Really..all the threads on the Vararam Intake stating it dont fit the 2012 and your blaming them for your lack of ability to research...epic

We have already issued this customer a full credit to his credit card for him incorrectly ordering the unit. He left a message late one afternoon and we returned his call the next morning. He sent the unit back and we issued a credit as soon as he contacted us with his credit card info! At no time did we insist on a "store credit" !! C'mon people - you all know me better than to think I am about poor customer service!!!!
Thanks
Steve

Mlee....I love your approach...great diplomacy. Although you defended the vendor, you didn't discount or devalue the OPs concerns. You appear fair and impartial, and that's important for a moderator. Keep up the good work and set the bar high!

Thanks... and I still don't discount the Ops concerns. When you spend a lot of money on something a missed communication can get you pretty worried pretty fast fast and may jump to quick to start a thread when a few PMs may work just as well.

We have a very long history with Vararam here and they are without a doubt a 1st class operation...

Edit: Oh yeah... and I forgot to LOL at PQ...
