Cleaning black metal radiator support help needed

I tried a few different products and they seam to leave streaks and or discoloration. I have tried trim detailer, detail spray, spray wax, waterless wash, and a few others I cannot remember. I use microfiber towels to wipe it. It is the only part under the hood I'm having trouble with. What do you use?

I just use all purpose cleaner but after it dries I go back and polish it with a cloth.

It's really irritating that they fixed that on the 5th-gen around 2012 and it was forgotten on the 6th.

As someone who participates in quite a few car shows per year, I got tired of having to constantly polish the stock radiator support shroud in order to make it look half-way presentable.

My first attempted work around was to purchase a Radiator Shroud Dress-Up Plate from Emblem Pros (Phastek also sells something similar).

https://www.emblempros.com/inc/sdetail/58339/64144

I bought the brushed stainless version and had it hydro-dipped. Turned out pretty good other than the hydro-dip really didn't give a true carbon fiber look and I still had to polish the area around the latch that wasn't covered.

My second and current attempt was to the replace the radiator shroud entirely with one made out of XCF carbon fiber.

https://www.octanemotorsports.com/20...-p-177825.html

Not a cheap solution by any means but it has turned out to be the best option. There's a layer clear coat over the CF which make maintaining the appearance a breeze.

As a side note, I didn't have to remove the front bumper to install the CF shroud. You have to unbolt the hood latch which will allow removal of the old shroud and installation of the new. The flow tie on the ZL1makes it easy to get at the latch bolts with a socket extension.

That CF looks sharp, but I prefer to wait until the mods are done before spending that much to replace the stock one. Looks good though...
