New Axles won’t install in rebuilt Differential
I just installed my new rebuilt differential by Jannetty Racing with the 3.91 gears. I have mew Z28 axles and they will not install all the way. It’s like they are hitting a wall!
Maybe cause it needs to be lubed? Grease? Assembly lube? I can’t figure it out. They are the same size one both ends as my SS axles so they should fit. Anyone have this issue before? I’m struggling getting them installed.

Just figured out it’s the metal o-ring. I took it off and it slides ride in. So, do you guys hammer these in?

The idea is to put the opening of ring at the bottom and it should pop right in with a little inertia.

What Drive shaft are you running? How do you like it? Any issues after getting everything together? Nice job getting everything together. MGW Shifter looks like there is plenty of room to install it with Driveshaft out of the way, Did you have to lower tranny? Thanks

Starting a new post about this. The rest of it seems great so far. The MGW was a simple install and I did lower the transmission just a bit. Loving the shifter!
