MANUAL TRANSMISSION

I'm up in the air between the auto and the stick. How is the clutch in the stick? Some reports I've read says the clutch engages to quickly. Any truth to that? I've also read the the L99 is somewhat disappointing in performance. That is what is leaning me towards the stick. $1200+ for and auto is another. I could use that cash for the aero package. I know I'll have the input of many purists, but I'll still ask. Thanks.

The first time you drive the car the clutch catches slightly earlier than you might expect. After a few starts and stops your leg muscle memory kicks in and it is a non issue after that. Very smooth and low effort, not stiff, pedal pressure. Drive one to demo before you commit but I do not think you will be put off by the clutch at all. I love my car. Good Luck

I agree the clutch engages rather quickly but its easy to get used to. I'm still working on perfecting shifts but just need more time and practice. I vote for the stick, its more fun than an auto IMO

I will also agree, the clutch takes some getting used to. I can drive it normally pretty easily now, it's just the power shifting that needs polished a little

Probably just not broken in. Also lot of folks are used to FWD or solid axle this is more exotic rear end.

Funny...I'm griping because it doesn't engage soon enough...I haven't had the time but I'm going to see if I can fit a clutch stop in...

I just picked mine up and yes the clutch is tricky to get the hang of. I will assume it will losen up after break-in and I will also get better at it. I still love it and would not wish to swith to an auto.
