I have a 2LT with the M6 and I love it. Haven't driven a manual in 15 years and I thought it was easy to get used to. Smooth shifts after a few days driving.

I'm a little over 800 miles now and it has def smoothed out, a combination of break-in and driver tuning.

It definitely took a little getting used to, but I am VERY happy with the manual. I think you can get a lot more pop out of the car with the manual.

agreed with what everone else is saying, get the stick, you wont regret it. Driven a stick for 20 years, all foreign cars and one thing I can say this is the best one so far. The car in my opinion seems to shift well up above 3500 rpms and allows you to go well below 1000 rpm before you need to down shift. Very different from what I used to.

For traffic infested driving, I do feel the engagement point in 1st and 2nd to be a pain in the rear. Guys saying that its engagement point is fine and takes getting used to are covering up the fact that it could be a skoshe better and happen sooner in the release of the clutch. It has a 1 1/2" of " no mans land" before it does anything. Its a far cry from say the Z06 setup, which is about perfect in comparison

that's called low-end torque!!

although i wouldn't try to accelerate from 1000rpm

The clutch action is very normal for a 400 HP engine with a hydraulic actuation. It's more position rather than feel. Those used to driving a 150 HP engine with mechanical actuated clutch will have some transition problems. Feathering the throttle while releasing the clutch is not a good technique on these machines. Hold some steady throttle and release the clutch in a controlled stroke.
