Bummer for sure, especially given how big the taillights are on the Accord Coupe. I googled Maryland vehicle safety inspections, got a list of the items they check, but not the criteria... Pretty hard to follow if what you are going to follow is on a secret list somewhere...

Do you think it'll be fine to install them with all the cold weather now, or should I wait till it starts warming up again?

I installed mine about a week ago. The directions recommend using a hair dryer to warm up the vinyl. I did that and it worked fine.

You will be fine, a hair dryer will be necessary though.

Since people are kinda unsure of tinting their lights, so we offer a unique policy on our tint:

Within the first 30 days of your purchase, if you have any problems (night visibility, fitment of material, tickets, etc) you can remove the material and return it to us. We will refund everything except the shipping charge.

We have had this policy for the last two years posted on our web site and so far less than 10 people have returned their tint. Most laws concerning what can or can't be done to your car are up to the local police dept. to enforce or not enforce. Also laws are different depending on what state you live in, so for that reason we allow people to return the product if it becomes a problem. If you are concerned about a ticket you can show the car with the tint installed to your local PD and see what their opinion is before the 30 days is up. If they don't approve of it, peel it off and send it back. So far about once a year a customer will tell us about getting a ticket or warning for the tail light tint nationwide.

We buy the material from a supplier and cut the patterns here. The patterns are designed for an easy install and good fit on the majority of cars. The trim rings vary in size from car to car by around 1/16 to a 1/8 of an inch. The material can be heated and streched some or if there is a gap that is a problem we also have a pattern that covers the complete lens. If all the patterns were that large it would make the install more difficult for the majority of car owners so that is why we don't make them extra large.
