Update 3-16-2015

Hey everyone, been out for the winter, but now I am back!! Been a crazy few months. Got a couple updates.

Got the Alcantara ZL1 steering wheel courtesy of Maureen, and swapped the stock one out. Took me about 45 minutes. The trickiest part was just getting the air bag to release, but other than that it was a piece of cake. Looks great and even feels better.

In the mean time, while waiting for my car to get repaired, am working on some splash gaurds courtesy of our camaro member Eleven here http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=303326 ,

started to make mine....

The link and the member gave a template of the gaurds that you can use to cut from and make yours. Here is the template, and the cardboard template to measure with on the car and to play with. Once I get my car back I i will install and upload pics!!

Got the suede knob installed and it looks and feels great! I went out and bought some gloves so that I can wear when I drive!! I recently cleaned the steering wheel suede and it collects a humongous amount of dirt.

Back doing the DIY , making some splash gaurds. Saw a post on here where a member made some splash gaurds by purchasing some splash gaurds from autozone and by using a template, cut and made some splash gaurds. So I decided to give it a try.

Started by cutting out a cardboard in the shape of the provided template which is what you see above.

Used some cutters to cut the plastic to size, and used the cardboard template to also get the screw holes. U wanna use the cardboard and line it up with the tori screws and drill them out. After that sand the edges
