It does not come standard, the 1LE includes a $7000 price tag increase for that. But I think there is an option for non 1LE's I think its like $2000 just for MRC you just don't get everything else that comes with the 1LE

That said, I don't have the 1LE, nor MRC. Is it worth it? Well my decision was based on the fact these cars without MRC have pretty much the same suspension as the corvette without MRC. So that was enough for me to save some money. I don't track course my car anyways. And you don't really need MRC for a drag strip.

Is it worth it? If you plan to road course track your car. Yes.

All SS 1LEs have MRC standard, it’s not an ‘option’ it’s part of the 1LE package.

My 2016 1SS didn’t have it. My 2018 does. Having driven an SS both with and without I think it’s worth it.
Well there's some causation in that, too, because many of these people consciously made the decision about MRC worthiness already before buying, so the resulting correlation is obvious.

I for one am also happy with MRC. In my opinion it isn't a game changer per se, but the ability to switch from soft (tour) to "granular" (track) is very nice to have.

I had 3 Camaros with it.

If the Camaro has it, great. If you have to pay for it, it is not worth it IMO. I am sure it will be super expensive to add and you will wonder later why you threw that money away. If you want a 1le buy one don't try to build one. Add Recaros instead if you are wallowing in cash. You will not be disappointed. IMO

MRC on my 2020 2SS was a $1,695 option (retail)...

I also stated the above. Didn't remember how much it was for just MRC.

At a standard $7000 price tag, that $7000 price tag includes other things people may not want or need vs $1695 for just MRC as an option. But I guess if you get MRC then you'd want those other options now that I think about it. Just in my case it may not be necessary.

Now if they included the ZL1 rear end in that $7000 price tag with MRC. It would be woefully worth it, because now you know you can throw 700 rwhp at it on a slick and not snap the rear end like the LT1 and SS variants.

1LE package has 14 items for 7000 bucks. MRC, Ricaros, Electronic limited slip diff, Brembos, 2:85 gear ratio, dual mode exhaust, the wheels and the blacked out hood and mirrors covers most of it. If you want the adjustable ride get MRC. If I start piecing out what I want it seems worth it for me.

The SS has 4 piston Brembos on all 4 corners, I think the 1LE gives you 6 piston fronts...

From MT: "However, both Cammisa and I preferred the ride and handling from the fixed suspension on the 1SS to the adjustable magnetorheological dampers on the 2SS."////////////////////////// In my particular situation, the magnetic suspension, I had it on my '14 Camaro ZL1, but not on my C7 Stingray Z51, neither on my 6th gen Camaro SS, I really didn't missed it, didn't feel I need it. Base shocks have been great for DD, suspension feels comfortable on both the Z51 and SS, and also feels sporty at the same time. It's more of a personal preference and only if you want to pay the upgrade $$$ cost

But they are talking about a 2014 Camaro (5th Gen), might be a BIG difference...

Let's just put it this way, they put it on the 1LE for a reason...

If you want to save every penny, then don't get it, you'll be fine, the 6th GEN is still an amazing platform, but if you want all the frills, spend the few bucks to get it... You can "float" on the highway on a road trip and you can be "tight as right" on a canyon carving drive...

I wish there was another way to check if a car has MRC, the only way I know of is through the infotainment system, the QR code on the door jam/trunk (if the car was built after a certain year), or physically looking under the car.

Shopping for a used Camaro you can find every feature within the photos but almost never can you tell if it has MRC until you pull the window sticker or if the owner knows. Also not many MRC cars I've seen in the used market from the ones that have the QR code at least.
