any zl1 diff--axle failures

has anyone destroyed a diff or axles.if so at what horsepower. thanks

If you search some of the threads there is a noise issue at times that has caused some dealerships to replace the rear diff under warranty. I have not heard of a failure. These things really are pretty indestructable.

2013 ZL1 -ADM - 427 LSX 6 bolt, O-ringed block built by LME. Twin PT6466 turbos. RPM custom manual trans, RPS Quad carbon clutch, 9" Hendrix rear diff & axles. ADM/squash fuel system, Ron Davis radiator, Spal fans, AGP air to air, turbo plumbing. LPE oil cooler, rear bushing upgrade, roll bar...etc. rwhp 1400+... 212.5mph, best Texas mile to date.

I love my zl1 diff, bolts right in cooler lines and all.

I have yet to see a shaft or diff failure. 9.8" ring gear is pretty big for an automobile.

My 6400-pound H2 runs a 9.5" stock, so a 9.9 should be pretty stout
