Still deciding on a cam, I want to go big, but probably stay with something that keeps some bottom to mid range. I'm hoping to get at least 470RWHP, with a cam with that profile. I think I may go with the SS2 cam or ss3? Or I may go custom, but not if I plan on making more power in the future, now that's becoming an issue. I'm going to see the flow numbers with the stock heads and see if more lift will help these heads unported or start to fall off at .600 lift? Update: I think I may stay under 230 duration on the intake side, I was driving last night and I noticed I'm mostly just in the 2K-3K rpm, cruising, Hoping I get to 470HP with that combo, if it still makes plenty of torque in that range, probably more, but it may fall off at above 230+ degree's of duration, plus I only have the 1 3/4'' diameter headers that would probably take some top end away. Suggestions? I appreciate all the info from everyone helping me out on this thread, it really helps. Thank you, please feel free to let me know if this is a good combo, for what I explained, even though I wanted to go bigger, sorry for any confusion.

How's your bottom to mid torque compared to the stock cam?

Unported start to fall off at .620lift , a cam with under 230 intake will have less bucking at low speeds, having the lsa in the 116 to 118 will help with drive ability and bucking
1 3/4" headers will be down probably 10hp from 3500 to 7000rpm, not huge power drop from 1 7/8"

A 228/236 .620" .620" 117 lsa is a great combo for power and street DD friendly

But, you would think it would hurt the top end. I'm sure it takes away from the sound too, but I'm unsure, learn it I would, but I know there's members and the sponsors, etc. that really help out a lot, just saying.... But it's probably going to be the cam profile I'm going to go with for now, well at least in that range. I wanted to go big, but I'm not, at least until I have the $ to do everything at once, it will happen soon enough. Thanks!

How is the bottom to mid range compared to the stock cam? You have bigger headers then me, probably gives you more on top, that's my plan too. I see you have a manual trans, did you do the heads or just the CAI and headers and a good tune with the cam? Thanks!

Another member gave me the idea, and seems logical enough for me.

A buddy and I both took our cars to Tick Performance for cam installs,,,both cars had identical mods, CAI , TSP headers, stock otherwise, We both had the Polluter Cams installed and tuned at Tick. His car has 75k miles, mine having 24k miles. They dynode both cars before the cams were installed and both were just a tad over 400 rwhp, Both cars came us quite a bit lower than they advertise after the cams were installed, ...mine having 441/411 his 433/402. Torque didn't change hardly at all . They tried everything and that's all they could get out of both cars, they double checked everything and finally told me that they have had several cars come up with lower numbers and are not sure what was wrong...2 years later after checking back with them several times, there is still no explanation as to the low numbers,,,performance numbers not there and customer service/ help not there either...I would recommend someone else like TSP for your camshaft. Just my opinion with documented facts.
