Always had old MOPAR muscle cars since 1978. Everything from Cuda's, Road Runners, Challengers etc.
This was the last one I had, sold it to by the Camaro. One of only 1043 made and I was the second owner. Just 70K original miles.

Directly before my Camaro I was in Chevy Cobalt, it got totaled in a 5 car accident...
And before the Cobalt I drove a Grand Marquis; the true boat my dad got it for me for $1000 and told me how he would have killed for this to be his first car blah blah --most miserable 2 years in that car ever haha |

Just traded my 2011 Mustang for a new 2015 Camaro 1LT. I wasn't looking at Camaros, then the combination of having one as a rental, where I was very impressed, and the underwhelming new Mustangs led me to a great deal on my new car.

Both are amazing cars that do similar things in different ways.
Cayman: Is very precise and easy within minutes you can push it at 90-95% of its potential and feel safe doing it. You can place it exactly where you want it in a corner with ease it feels like a go cart. I had the PDK dual clutch transmission which was amazing, if you got on it for few seconds it would change from docile to holding gears and down shifting early as you were braking. But it lacked the engagement you feel driving a stick shift, while it is a lot faster for a average driver it feels bit passionless on just a nice cruise. Sight lines are perfect very easy to maneuver at speed and in parking lots. I had a base model with out the PAS (Porsche active suspension) and while great for cornering it was hell on a cruise if the road was not flat as a board. It was harsh punishing like kidney punches when you hit a avg pothole or expansion joint. While they kept it light (lack of sound deadening) road noise was bad on the wrong pavement it was hard to talk inside the car. Engine and Exhaust sound was great if you were breaking the law, only sounds good when you are over 3k rpms and on the throttle hard out side that quit as a kitten. The interior is nice not as much of a difference from the Camaro as they would like you to believe. Seats are good but for a 210 pound guy the are to hard and would cause me pain after 30-40 minutes of driving. Camaro: while it has precise steering and ride compared to the Porsche it feels heavy like it will push in a corner leaving me unwilling to real push it unless there is a lot of room for error, also with the power it has you have to worry about power over steer. Transmission I love the shifter in the 1LE tight precise heavy (i drive truck so not fan of overly light effort shifters) love the suede. While I wouldn't want a stick for daily driving I love it for toy car makes the drives so much more engaging. Sight lines as we all know are horrible hood is tall seats are low rear has giant pillars, coming over a crest in the road is an act of faith as you cant see squat till the nose is pointed down. Suspension is great sporty tight but yet it can still absorb a pothole or expansion joint with out punishing you, you know you hit one its no Lexus but as sports cars go I find it near perfect balance of sport and livability. Interior sound levels are good. The only sound that I hear is the engine coming out the near perfect (for me) Dual mode exhaust, I love the V8 sound it sounds good at start up sounds good going through the gears at a normal pace sounds good on decel just good good good V8. I think the interior is a mix of good and passable, leather seats and door and dash panels are very nice, the plastics and there fit is passable could be better but I don't find the objectionable, the look of the heater controls could be better and the way it transitions from the center stack to the center tunnel/armrest could be better. Seat comfort is very good as I find most GM seats are, they give you the option of recaros for those who want them but the normal seat is perfect for daily driver comfort. I am glad to have had both cars but if I had to chose I would stay in the Camaro. Heck I chose the Camaro over the Corvette because I felt the Vette was to close the Porsche ride wise if you didnt get Mag-ride. Plus its 20+K more and I dont see that much more enjoyment coming from it. The only other car I was thinking of but felt it would be (as I only drove 13 not the new 15, friend has 13 R/T) to far into the cruiser not sporty ride was the Challenger. I would have liked to compare a 15 Challenger R/T Scat Pack with my Camaro. DONE! |

Last toy was a 2005 Cadillac CTS-V. It was on its 3rd differentail and I wasn't installing number 4!
Before that I had (at different times) a 1996 Trans Am, 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 hardtop, 1972 Corvette LT1, and a 1980 Trans Am. I rebuilt the 1980 Trans Am and drag raced it for a couple years. I sold it after we had a baby. My current daily is a 2009 Cobalt SS. I also have a 1999 Lincoln Navigator that I keep around for hauling stuff. |

2002 Chevy Silverado
I still drive one or the other depending on which is under the knife. Since this pic, I've added a long travel kit and a bunch of other mods.

I had a 2007 Chevy Colorado that I tore up pretty bad. I ended up selling it and buying a 2014 Chevy Cruze LTZ. I went in for its first oil change and walked out with my 2015 Camaro 1LT! With insurance and car payment, it was only $55 more a month to have the Camaro over the Cruze. Such a great car!
