What makes it a 1SS? Reason I ask is because I have a 2SS and still can't figure out wtf it means.

THIS is the real reason I don't take my car to the dealership for oil changes. See? Nothing but trouble!

Congrats on the new car, you'll love it!

No leather, no Guage pack, no HUD, no backup sensors etc. etc. etc. Think base SS

I believe the differences are leather vs cloth seats, upgraded stereo system w/ Boston Acoustics, ABL lighting on the door panels and dash, bluetooth...

A great color choice and buy of 1ss as you plan on making mods, you will be vary happy with the performance gains you can make. do it 1 project at a time, as money permits, you can enjoy you purchase for many years to come.

Congrats on the SS! That is a beautiful color and I'm not biased.

I recently upgraded to an SS myself. I can't wait to get my new exhaust on because the stock exhaust is ridiculously quiet. My V6 had a better sounding stock exhaust.

I say "Bah" to all the "should have waited" crowd! The 5th gen is an icon, and while I'm not bashing V6s, the V8 is the standard engine of an icon. I seriously doubt I'll be letting go of my '14 for a Gen6 anytime soon. It will stay in the stable and bring a smile to the next generation of muscle car lovers in my family (might make a nice wedding present for my oldest son someday). I will add the C7 Vette refresh in 2017, and that car will probably drive my wife and I off into the sunset...
