Just normal safety goggles or sunglasses outside.

I have ANSI Z87 that I have to use at certain customers, use them to shoot as well. I get them at a local welding supply store. Starting to have 2nd thoughts though.....

The test seems to be on the extreme side, but when you consider your setting off small bombs a few inches from your face..... yeah.... second thoughts lol

Also since they're required at work, they're a tax deduction..... Looking at Smith Directors, but hate to buy glasses without trying them on first

I use Rudy glasses with changing shades and four different colors for differing conditions. They exceed shooting glasses/goggles requirements and are guaranteed scratch proof. They fully wrap around/shield my eyes. Also, they are the clearest glasses I have ever had.

In gun games it is not unusual to have splatter hitting you occasionally. One time I took a hard hit from the side, almost blew my glasses off and did leave a few big scratches in the lenses. Would have probably hit my eye........Rudy replaced them for free.

Don't go cheap with safety equipment.

Not cheap, but probably cheaper than a glass eye!

I bought ESS Crossbow after watching a few comparison videos.
The kit came with 3 lenses, 2 frames and a hard case.
Lenses are clear, smoke and Amber or maybe rose.
One frame is standard and the other has flat sides to keep your ear muffs sealed.
Got the set for $88 from Amazon.

These one piece glasses seem to protect better than two piece glasses which occasionally flip up and stick in the eye socket. Fortunately I've neven been hit by a richochet, but I've seen some brutal pics over the years.

I like the ESS Crossbow being military issue, and the prices are more than reasonable ... but that Rudy Project stuff, WOW!

Looks like Rudy 'is' what Oakley 'was' 20-ish years ago. Fine stuff! May have to watch for deals after Thanksgiving on a set.

Rudy Project is a sponsor of USPSA that was my original draw to them.

But then I figured if Rudy Project Impact-X technology was good enough material for Apache Helicoptor winshields, it would be fine for my shooting and cruising glasses.

We were involved/helped the last couple years with sending lots of Rudy Impact-X glasses to Israel. So the IDF has a lot of troops wearing them.

I use Revision Sawfly. I like them, and Revision is not owned by Luxottica.
