The second picture looks the best for sure. I am not sure what size barrel works best for a 9mm though. This is a quick search graph for barrel length on 9mm but for 147 grain for subsonic rounds. The person that quoted the figures stated a 5 inch barrel is too long to keep 9mm subsonic with a suppressor. Technically he was talking about the DB sound level above 5" and quoted that to really take advantage of the suppressor want to stay around 950 feet per second.

Unless you reload then it seems 10.5" is the mas length of barrel you want for subsonic rounds.

"I fire a lot of suppressed 9mm - been making my own ammo for quite a while now - 147gr and 4.8gr Unique powder. More or less tailored for me to works well suppressed barrels up to 10.5"

The question is what size barrel do you currently have and what size barrel would you end up with when cut down?

If yours is the standard size 8" barrel then it would be good to cut it down and rethread for the suppressor. Unless you plan on reloading to tailor to the barrel size for subsonic ammo.

Very nice looking! I like the red anodized charging handle. Lets us know how it shoots compared to your other 12 gauge guns when you get a chance.

Thanks Driving....yes I reload and have a few 147 grain rounds mixed up for tomorrows shoot, using WSF and Tight-group .

Currently, barrel is stock at 8" and considering a chop to 4.5" and threaded. Should leave around 1" to 2" of the suppressor out of the hand-guard and leave it a nice compact little package.

Just wanted to remind any one wanting to put their eotech in for a refund it ends in a couple days! If you need help finding the information I can posts links. I just sent one of mine back this weekend. Here in florida something black easily exceeds 122 degrees fahrenheit.

Thinking Trijicon is my next go to for sights. I like the MRO and MRO petrol. I like to stay with american sights too. On a side note the new vortex RAZOR AMG UH-1 has the reticles I like for CQB use. ANy one have any imput on it being a USA company but some of their optics built over seas?

I have a Vortex Venom on my patrol rifle and it is great and held up during a 2 day carbine class.

The Razor UH-1 is made in the USA based on this thread. I have had one on order since November.
Quote from a Vortex employee:
It's made in the USA with a U.K. made reticle/hologram.

The Vortex warranty can't be beat. No receipt necessary and no questions asked and they don't care if you are the original owner or not.

I've run an ACOG on my LWRC for four years now. Still zeroed with zero issues of any kind. It gets beat around on the f our wheeler quite a bit, it's occasionally used for 3 gun as well as gophers, skunks, porcupines and badgers.

If a guy can afford it...go ACOG.

I've got two Browes. The owner worked for Trijicon formerly. They are like ACOGs but have LEDs and you can choose the type and color of reticles. I have a blue horseshoe (5.56 BDC) and blue crosshairs (7.62 BDC).

Unfortunately, they're 2x as heavy as an ACOG.

I'm not sure the UH1 is coming out anytime soon, despite what BackorderPlanet is estimating.

I'm not sure where I left off gun wise. I have a Springfield 1911 in 9mm. Awesome gun. I also acquired an old H&R Self Loader in 32 Auto. Not to mention I picked up a S&W Victory 22 for my son to use when he shoots bullseye with me. I have a S&W Model 41 on the way and my dealer is working on a 45 for me, I don't know the brand but it's for our bullseye competition.

I'd like to pick up a S&W M&P 15-22 Sport to boot.

One of my employees thinks I have an unhealthy obsession with guns. Nah, they all have a purpose!
