Hood not even?

Just purchased a 2016 2SS with 10,000 Miles.

Does my hood alignment look off?

Tried to give a perspective with the tape. Here’s other shots.

Simple fix, Adjust it. Fairly common issue.
Just take your time and make small adjustments till it's correct.

I had a issue where the hood would not close when you dropped it for about a foot from close - it was the little round hood stoppers, I think they just turn by hand and you can adjust the height of the hood like you want ( I think)

Ps how do you add images to the darn forum - I have a image for the, but I just get a URL option to add it 0 how can you upload one?

Sometimes when you adjust up the hood stoppers, the hood won't latch. I had to raise the latch mechanism a bit to get it to latch and be even.

My trunk was not aligned. There are two screws to adjust it up and down. I'm assuming there is something like that for the hood

That hood edge along the front bumper cover and both front fenders is easily adjustable. There are adjustable stops and the enclosure plate when you open the hood is adjustable also. A good body guy can fix that in 15 minutes

There are 2 torx head bolts in the radiator support/cover, 1 on either side of the hood latch. Those adjust the height of the front bumper cover. I had the same issue and some others on here have as well. My guess is that'll fix your problem. Check this write up for details and pictures.

Yes, the alignment is off. I'm not sure what the actual spec is but it should be around +/- 1 or 1.5 mm for general body panel fits and you look way over that.

First of all, is the car still under warranty? If so have someone who knows what they are doing make the adjustment.

If not, you've been provided some good information on making the adjustment yourself.

Good luck!

That happened on my 2013 too. Good to know it's adjustable.
