I removed the bowtie on my car. I had to remove the top metal filler panel to get behind the grille. Thought I was being careful, but I noticed after everything was back together that the hood now sits lower. Did I bend or move the hood latch or something? Grrr.

Turn the two rubber bumpers nearest the center of the hood counterclockwise about a turn and that should get you about where it should be. No idea why the height may have changed, but it should be a quick fix.

Yeah, thought that was it, but that didn't do it.

Well, I figured it out, it had nothing to do with the hood height, it was the bumper height. The forward two torx bolts seem to be there for adjustment, and I had them cranked down too much. When I loosened them, everything lined up again.

Glad you figured it out. I removed those bolts once to install the tranny cooler but everything went back together well.

Those aren't really adjustment screws.. they just secure the metal plate which helps secure the front bumper to the car. I wouldn't run those bolts backed off and not snug, but that's me. Id tinker with the adjustable pads if I was you, but your decision.

Now if I can figure out how to get my SS off my front grill. Why does it have to be so stinkin much drama just to get a badge off.

The back of the emblem has clips on it that will have to come out of the backing plate.
