Help, no camaro order #
Ok, my salesman told me there is no order number and that he gets updates by GM. He stated that he can't see the updates outside of the computer at the dealership. has anything changed? He sent me the alleged order but there is no number, in the space it says TRE-retail and next to Allocation is the word CAM. I placed my order two weeks ago and he told that me earlier this week that my order has been pulled, whatever that mean.

the minute the dealer inputs your order information you should get a 6 character "number". It is all letters I believe. Heck, I forget what my number was and i am too lazy to look.
That 6 digit # is used to track the event codes. When you first place the order you are 1100. 6000 is delivered and there is a bunch in between. |

"jrhaus76" is correct. as soon as your order is placed in the computer by the dealer there is a 6 character order # assigned and you are at status 1100 (preliminary order). If or when your dealer has an allocation your order will go to 2000 ( order accepted by GM). Your salesman probability does input the orders nor is able to check updates, relaying on whomever does the input to give them updates. As soon as the order is inputed there is a printout of the order with the order #. I stood and watched them input mine (the first 2SS - SGM, the first date ordering was available). So if your order was input, ask for a copy to double check everything is as you ordered it!
Once you have your order # you can check its status on the Tracking Thread above. As for the status codes they are listed in the "Order Tacking Options" thread above. One IMPORTANT note, the status' are usually updated only ONCE a week (Tue night or Wed morning) until your TPW, than they do it nightly for you. Happy waiting!!! - it's worth while in the end

Thanks C5 for your help, I called GM and they are going to give my salesman a call to correct the situation and get me an order number. The rep also told me that I must have done my homework and I told him about this site and the knowledgeable members. Thanks again C5!!
