ALOT. Anyone have this issue? Alot of movement in the shifter, pretty noisy...

Hmmm, not a problem here. I do notice the shifter moves some while driving, especially over bumps and such, but nothing excessive to the point of rattling.
Does it seem as loose with the vehicle parked?

No rattle, but a tiny bit of play if you pull it forward or backward... If I use my hand to pull on it while driving (just enough to put a little tension on the shifter) the rattle stops

There's a couple of things it could be. The shifter handle could be loose on the stick. There's a little door on the front of the shifter handle. Pry it open and then try tightening the screw behind the door. Use a Torx T-20 bit.
If that doesn't stop the rattling, then remove the screw completely and pull off the handle. Underneath, you will see a steel stick and with a plastic plunger rod in the middle. This plastic plunger rod could be vibrating against the steel stick while the vehicle is in drive or M. A dab of thick grease between the stick and plunger rod should be enough to get the rod to stop moving around (although you may have to do it again in the future if the grease wears out).

For mine it is the black plastic inserts that cover the shifter slot rattling against eachother. I dont hear it when the radio is on but it is annoying.

That's easy to check if the rattling is coming from there. Just put your hand on the black plastic cover slider when you hear the rattle. If it goes away, that's your problem.

My shifter rattles only when it is in manual/sport mode. It does not rattle in D. Pretty irritating.

Mine is more of a solid sounding noise. I checked the handle - and the rod below. Don't see how this could produce this type of noise.

The more I think about it - the more I think it is the black plastic center slider as jtzako had mentioned above. This slider runs in a track and we noticed a lot of gap between the shifter cover and white plastic track under it. This gives a lot of room for the black plastic slider to vibrate in certain positions. When we made the Hurst automatic shifter plate we tightened this up by more firmly sandwiching the black plastic slider to prevent any buzzing or rattle.
There are a few things that can be done if you don't have the Hurst plate. I would suggest removing the handle then top plate of the shifter to access the black plastic slider (I've attached the Hurst instructions on how to do this). In steps 12 & 13 it shows the black plastic slider. Take the slider and roll it up (rib side in) tightly. This will put "set" into the slider and it should act more like a spring, creating some resistance against vibration. If this doesn't work, then the next step would be putting small strips of Dynamat between the ribs of the slider. Note- if this doesn't fix the problem then, it's very likely that the shifter isn't the problem. You may have vibration in the transmission or other parts of the vehicle that are getting transmitted up through the shifter.

I know it is the black plastic in my case since if I touch it with a finger the rattle stops. Touching any other part of the shifter housing doesnt do anything at all to stop the rattle for me.

I know exactly what you are talking about. Mine was rattling badly in D and worse in M. If I held it firmly and pulled back it stopped. Took it in to the dealer and they replaced the entire assembly. Ran with it for 3-4 months with no more noise before I installed the pistolgrip tapshifter.
