1. They are following the law...cat removal is a federal no-no, and 2. they lied its almost impossible to lose power from cat removal..there is a small exception, but that not with standing I doubt u fall in that group.

Solution...get the "right personal" to remove it...and 2. make it so u can place it back for inspection.

Going catless won't hurt performance, just the environment.

Going catless will not create any sudden significant increase in performance.
It will create a very different and not necessarily pleasant exhaust note, and will provide a constant and surprisingly strong smell of raw gas.
And will also cause a continuous check engine light.

All can be prevented.

Actually the smell isn't that bad, but noticable

Car just like exhaling better without. IMO

I do have a sensitive nose .
But I've seen a few posts from guys with true straight pipes that have regretted the noise level.

If Amarr is "straight" w/cats, he might be surprised how much sound supression they provide once they're gone.

I hate emissions. Politicians are what's ruining the environment.

Good point I missed the straight pipes. yeah some with standart exhaust find the extra air with LT and no cats too much. It is a very fine line and all up to personal preference, but sound supression and HP aren't good bed fellows.

OP if you ever find yourself in the Tampa area I would be glad for you check out my car if it helps.
