I agree that the root of all evils has been these hood inserts all along. Why else would Chevolet try to 'persuade' everyone who more recently ordered the stock painted insert to switch to the exposed weave optional hood by offering it to them for FREE? And because of this they were forced to offer anyone that had an order pending with the $600 optional exposed weave hood, a $600 credit to their finished invoice. This was supposedly because of the constraint issue on the painted insert, while the exposed weave insert was going to be more readily available. JMHO

I do not want to sound like I was bitching in my earlier posts, I was just a little perturbed when I first discovered. I had originally ordered and did get the CF insert. I was never asked to change during the process, although my dealer was concerned that I would not get CF. I did get what I want in the long run, ONE AMAZING CAR!!!(with a few minor blemishes)

Pull the parts off and do it your self you are just asking for trouble if you have the dealership body shop mess with it. Head to the dealership order a can of the paint in the spray can and shoot it yourself

...upon further inspection, the man has a valid point that needs to be addressed IMHO. Question; for the price paid, and what was delivered, should we be satisfied with blemishes, imperfections, or unsettled issues with same? I guess it's up to the individual to answer that one... What does one settle for with quality issues in conjunction with what you received performance wise, that is the question. Granted, the QC may raise some questions....which we may not know the answers, but in the end....if somethings not right then let your conscience be your guide.
