Value of LS7 Heads
Hi All,
I've now sold my Z/28 in the UK. I upgraded the heads to the AHP stage 4 version and the original, complete set that came off my car is sitting in storage. They have covered 6,000 miles. Where is the best place to sell them and what are they worth? Thanks in advance |

I did the stage 4 heads on mine as well and the core charge AHP gives you back is more than I could fetch for my take offs. Mine had 13K on them, I advertised them for $1000.00 obo and had no hits. AHP told me there was no deadline on when I could return them. They mentioned they took a set over two years after once. Might want to try them.

I got 2k for my cores with 12k miles from GPI. That being said, I bought a set of brand new assembled heads, which iirc are about 2k each from GM, for something like 2.2k. I'm thinking $1700 as a starting point for negotiating, but just my opinion.

Typically untouched ls7 heads go from $800-1200 for a set, unless things have changed a lot, I typically look for a spare set of heads through marketplace and that's what I've found as I've looked for a spare set to mine. Last year someone with a z28 sold their factory set of heads for under 1000. Untouched heads are hard to find though. Most are ported/milled and generally people are a looking for an untouched set to send off to their favorite builder for them to do their own package on.

Thanks for the replies.
Part of the reason for keeping the original heads aside was the fact they had done very few miles and they are standard. I'm unsure how how many sets are still available from the factory should anyone need them. |

I'm curious to know if ls7 heads will bolt up to a ls3? And if so is this a good swap?
