Looking for a nice drag setup as well, forgestar seems to be catching my eye.

Still just a bloody big thunderstorm. My hurricane rules: Cat1-buy beer, Cat2-buy plenty of beer. Anything above that get out of its way. Just teasing folks. Really depends on how close to the water you live. If your picture window overlooks the beach you shouldn't stick around for any of them.

Good morning everyone! I'm going to order a stripe kit for my new baby this week. Probably going to go with the 45th Anniversary kit or simply Silver Rally stripes. Is this a job that can be done by someone who has a little experience with something like this? Is there a body shop around Pensacola / Gulf Breeze you guys would recommend?

Preston Hood Chevy in Ft Walton painted mine on almost 2 months ago. They did a great job. Almost the same price as the factory sticker stripes too.

You had a dealer shop do that? Your stripes look awesome. Those boys do good work.

Speaking of your stripes, just a random question, do you know how they laid it out and did it? I'm guessing a stencil perhaps? Also, did they clear the entire hood after the stripes were painted?

Yeah, Preston Hood has a body shop in the back, they are the ones who painted my engine cover to follow the 45th theme too.

I believe they have a stencil with the pattern for the 45th stripes and well as a few others. They clear coated both the hood and deck lid after painting. Also, the paint came with a warranty just as good as the factories! The biggest issue we had was the color match. They didn't have a grey that was a dead on match yet. I spent a good hour or so with a grey color block going through each shade compared with the original stripes on the car. Ended up being the 3rd to last that matched.

Go to Preston Hoods website and click on collisin center and under that click on Camaro paint specials. They list the prices they charge plus photos of what they do.

well since some of us are talking mod upgrades....got my LG headers and cats in....big thanks to Ivan and Southwest Speed! Install is tomorrow! And even better SCT says they will unlock my tuner for me from the old camaro for $150!! much better than buying a whole new tuner...hopefully tune will be done before Hooters this Saturday....

is anyone going to that?
