Picked up one of the manual shifter boots a few weeks back. GM Part# 24265076, leather boot with orange stitching.
Put it in this morning and was pretty straightforward after reading the other threads on this. I did elongate the holes so the boot could slide forward and line up with the opening on the console. Also took 2 - 1/4 nuts to use as spacers over the dowel pins to raise up the front of the boot. In order to make that work I drilled out the nuts to 22mm. Worked like a charm. Of course as luck would have it for me, I didn't realize the shifter had stitching on it..

Rainy and cold here yesterday so I spent some time working on a better fit for the VMS wheels. Found some room by "adjusting" the crossover tube on the Brembo calipers. Before the clearance from that line to the wheel was about 2.5mm.
Here is where the clearance is tight. Here is what the line looks like after a few taps with a hard rubber mallet and a wrench just below the nut to keep it from collapsing. With the wheel back on Added some tape to the inside of the wheel with a mark that represents the width of a normal wheel weight (18-20mm wide). At that mark, I know have 9.5-10mm of clearance between the crossover tube and the wheel on both sides. Another pic showing the line after the "adjustment". I did find some replacement crossover tubes from RB Performance Brake and will call them tomorrow to see if they have them in-stock. They are $53 for the pair. https://racingbrake.com/bc42-ct I may just take a quick trip to the local parts store and see if I can get some brake line materials and form my own. Will see. Will update after taking the wheels to get re-balanced this week.

Since the VMS wheels were so close to the Brembo calipers, I picked up a set of the Carlisle brakes for the 15” conversion. Not doing the entire conversion, just the brakes.
Put one side together really quick to check on the clearance. Here you can see how much smaller the rotors are compared to the dust shield. Here you can see there is plenty of clearance for the calipers now. Should be able to get these swapped out this coming weekend.
