Engine falls flat between gears

MY car has a random problem of the engine just falling flat when accelerating. Is there a rev limiter I 'm hitting? Happens during heavy takeoffs, not normal spirited driving. Happened before and after my SCT X4 tune. Car is a LS3, 6 speed.

Rev limiter is likely what you’re experiencing.

Rev limiter.Make sure you are up to operating temps on the engine and trans before spirited driving.
If that doesn’t fix it then an adjustment to the tune is in order.

Turn off stabilitrac and traction control. Or at least do competitive mode. See if that makes a difference. If the vehicle detects or anticipates traction or driving conditions are not ideal, it will intervene. Pull timing, apply brakes, adjust throttle body, etc. Torque management can also be adjusted in the tune. Title states falls flat between gears, but your explanation is while accelerating. Do you mean between gear shifts?

Yes it seems to happen going from 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd. What is the rev limiter set to from the factory? The car pulls hard and than just dies.

Stock redline is around 6500 rpms. Are you trying to shift past that?

I didn't think so, but I will have to pay closer attention. I did hit the limiter once on my SRT8 Challenger and the engine just stuttered a little, not fall on it's face.

Yeah, on these cars it feels like a massive fuel cut when you hit it...which makes sense lol. It is definitely not subtle.
