Personally I do not believe this to be true. Looking at the top 8 listed it is neck and neck. What are most v6 autos dynoing? At our dyno day my m6 did 273hp 250ftlbs. Best run was a 14.37 corrected with diy cai, ss cans, all synthetic fluids swap with a horrible launch. I dont have the slip so dont add me to the list. Drag radials on non steel wheels would help a TON!

I think the autos put down around 255 or so. And you built your intake? I built one and it literally slowed me up .5 tenths! lmao! And true a manual with tires would help A LOT. I dont think anyone has posted up times on tires with a manual yet. A bone stock M6 V6 with radials would definitely be into 13s with a good driver. |

I just cut the bellows off of the stock tube and fiberglassed/painted the whole thing and used a k&n drop in filter. Tried using the tube with a cone on the maf and it was doggy. Have pics somewhere. Basically a generic blackwing setup. I think a stock a6 v6 did 245hp and a6 v8 did 323hp that day.

A driver with the skills to launch & shift correctley should be able to run quicker than the same powered auto, but add a good stall performance torque converter (not a re-stalled stock unit) and you will see .4-.5 sec improvment in the 1/4 mile with that mod alone. Just watch Rod1 when he retakes the #1 spot back for an example.....and the cost is very affordable.

see post # 684. The owner who does the updates is not able to do so at the moment. Someone else was going to contact a mod to do this in his absence. Don't know if this has happened yet.
