I did about 170 miles

Still averaged over 17 mpg - not sure how since all the mountain roads mostly saw 3rd & 4th

The roads were great! traffic not too bad; the cars got lots of head turns

My "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Cruise!" most likely won't take place until early 2011.

This weekend will be the first of a series of test cruises to determine the event meeting spot, and other potential stopping points & routes....

VCHULA: Sounds like a great time, I Just got my registration for the Corvette show at Sea Port Village on August 8, are you planning on going?. Maybe we can get a group up to go. Last year there was only two (2010) as you know. Let's talk it up!!!!!!.

Yes, I am planning on going, but will most likely bring the 1996 SS.

Great hopefully we will get a good size group together. I was planning on going to Big Bear that weekend because they also have a great show with a lot of high end street rods, and muscle cars. Only problem was it's the Chargers first pre-season game on saturday night. I do have my priority's. Go Chargers!!!!!

Totally dude. I should be back in SD around the 1st of September, BUT, I'm renting an RV and taking a cross country road trip for 21 days. Leaving on the 10th. First stop is Vegas, get married, and then on from there. Will be back on October 1st.
