I DO NOT GET IT

Hello, I do not get it at all, its probley just me, but I start to have a melt down everytime... The Dealerships sell a product no matter what car it is, just like Dell selling computers and if you touch it in anyway they are quick to blame the other product... I told myself I was not going to touch or Mod my car in anyway to avoid the hassle, well 2 years later I am way past that... but I had a legimate question and knowing what answer I was going to get I called them up.... The first thing out of his mouth was its not OEM TIRE size so that is why the stability track is coming on and all the lights are on like a christmas tree... So I started having my melt down, and I am like well my TUNER and Performace guy both say there is nothing they can do about it, and it must be somthing with the car... he goes on and on about its not OEM tire size and I have to keep the same tire sizes and he could take a look at if for me for 200 bucks... I go into full MELT down mode... Knowing everyone is putting bigger tires on there cars, I am like what the hell is going on... SO after telling him thanks for nothing... I am back off to get my OEM tires back on the car at the tire shop, and they called some tech up and they finally figure out that the new tires had a 2 inch stance on them and GM OEM is only a 1 inch stance and that has to be the issue with the stability track and the brakes pulsing like crazy... Kind of makes sense since once the OEM tires back on the car drove great again.. it was a nightmare day and have to go back on thurs, since they had to order bigger front tires. They should have known that from the start.. well I ranted enough, but I dont get why companies do not understand or try and give you a reason like the Stance is off, instead of its not OEM so its wrong... Soo frustrating...

Ummmm - in this case wasnt the dealer correct in telling you that the issue was your tire size? Seems like he was giving good advice to your question, no? Wouldnt the issue be with the folks that sold you the wrong size tires for your application?

Ok, so the dealership tech that you had a meltdown on was correct, it was the non-OEM tires?

Dumb question, but what do you mean by "1 inch stance" and "2 inch stance"? No idea what that refers to...

No they should have been able to tell me about the stance instead of its not OEM tires, alot of people have non OEM tires on the car... I did not know about the stance issue as well as the tire shop did not know.. took all day to figure it out... yes its about tire size but its the stance which he did not know about as well...

you can not have really big/wide/tall tires in the back and little/narrow/thin tires up front.

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

been there, done that with the tires.

my frustration is not about the tires, its about how companies and tech support are quick to blame somthing else then their product, in this case it was about how the car responds to yes changing tire sizes.. if your computer goes bad they start asking you what software you added to it.. same thing, its just frustrating to try and find out why your having an issue to begin with... I guess a better way to explain it is, since I was putting bigger tires on it and the stability track lights were all coming on, whats the issue with how the camaro is responding to it... But I get the standered answer of its not OEM so that is why, when really he could have told me about the stance issue with the stability track... he might not have known about it as well, but that was the answer I was looking for before we figured it out...
