And the conspiracy theories continue.

I'd personally be glad they decided to hold it back rather than deliver something that wasn't "saleable."

I'm sorry you have to wait, but I am very re-assured that GM cares so much about the quality of this particular car.

Everyone else should be too.

Every car has problems. Every car. Period. GM is making sure this will be one of the best "first-year" runs it has ever had.

Thats is some really, really good news.

I talked to our lady at the dealership today. If ever I was doubtful of the story she gave, I am no longer. I totally believe her and our dealership. They are not at fault and they are definitely NOT selling your car to someone else like others have suggested. She told me how stressed out she was before she called you to give you the news. She was worried about how you would take it and that if there was something she could do about it she would have. She said GM has been extremely apologetic to the dealership and something cool is coming your way but she didn’t say what. You must let us in on what they do for you to make up for the delay. Best of luck to you.

Considering the beating American auto brands have been taking for quality, this is actually a breath of fresh air. Waiting to get delivery of a car that meets or exceeds standards is priceless. I say Kudos to the QA team for saving you headaches and cash in the future. Hmm, they'll probably use that car as a test mule for crash tests etc.

I used to work in a paintshop of another car manufactur. We had a car in for a paint repair when a guy backed into a cart which he had hit with his quarter panel, it sent the cart spinning into another car's quarter panel. Niether cars were sold as you could not repair them without body work.

Like I said in another post some dealers give others a bad name , I merely suggested he follow up. In another post I stated there are always other possibilities that cause this but my gut feeling would be to check it out. I hope they give him something nice like a complete air intake upgrade and complete exhaust upgrade.

I doubt they are going to give him aftermarket accessories that could potentially void his warranty (depending on dealer interpretation) or cause additional noise that he might find offensive later on. He would be fortunate to get a free car cover out of it. Last I heard TRM has not been offered anything...let alone a new car to be made with an accelerated completion date....and his car was built the first day!

I just recieved word that my new order was pulled for production over night. Now thats a quick turn around time. Hope everything goes smoothly this go around.

Dude, cheer up - you have had what many of us will be waiting still for months. You will probably get your replacement car before us. I say good job to GM and your dealer for stepping up, being accountable and making it right. With them taking it back, tearing it apart, and finding the bugs - it will make the future builds better.

oh i'm not complaining. I was pretty upset earlier in the week, but it will all turn out for the better. I hope you and everyone else gets their cars soon.
