Disapointed Camaro Buyer

I heard from my Dealer yesterday that my SS GCO
Camaro placed in Oct. 2008 #1429 will not be released,
and diverted to Millford Proving Grounds for further quality
assessements. They would not reveal what the problem
is and advised to place another order. My Dealer in SW FL.
has a 2010 Camaro launch on May 6th and my car was to
be on display at that time. Just placed a new order and
stated they would expedite the replacement order.

Ordering today seems to be a lot quicker than ordering 6 months ago in some cases.

I can understand the frustration but would you rather be in and out of the service department instead. QC is a good thing.

Not really, this is both a common and a positive process.

Do you really expect a 100% success rate out the gate?

Yeah, but this guy placed his order back in October. Now its basically May and he's been told to place a new order.

That's ridiculous and shows how screwed up the process has been for many of us. It really takes a lot of the enjoyment out of buying a new Camaro. Many of us wanted to be the first to get our cars. That's why we pre-ordered in the first place. Now we wait, while others get their cars.

By the way, which dealership? Roger Dean or Bill Branch?

Yeah, being told to order again is a huge flaw in the process.
