can a dealership reject employee discounts

as it states, can a dealership reject an employee discount and still apply the mark up for the ZL1 or do they have to honor it?

They can choose not to honor any type of discount.

This vehicle may not even qualify for the employee discount program. We will not know this until the pricing is provided.

Up to the dealer. You might get it at INVOICE possibly...

How about the GM Loyalty Discount? Any word if that will be available?

As HDRDTD said any dealer can choose which programs to participate in. With the Employee and Supplier pricing programs they can choose whether or not to sell the vehicle with these pricing programs. I hope that helps to answer that question. As far as the GM Loyalty Discount like many of our offers it would still be up to the dealer.

If a dealer will sell at invoice, they would definately sell at Employee, Credit Union, Supplier, etc. Calculated purchase does actually make them a little bit more than invoice in the long run.

I got the ONLY 2011 Convertible allocation for the dealership I used and they would not give me the GM supplier discount. It was my choice then to buy from them or not, but it was worth it for me to pay full sticker. The price is manufacturers suggested retail price (MSRP). It's up to the dealer to price it for what the market will bear.

If you are a full member of USAA your dealer should definitely give you $750 off... Since the rebate comes from GM it's no money out of his pocket...
