Not common on any of my previous GM vehicles.

I experienced a bad smell that was very strong upon pulling into my garage one evening. Even after I turned the car off and got out, I could smell it and so could friends who had arrived in a different car. The smell went away after about 30 seconds and it hasn't come back. I honestly thought I had a dead animal in the garage or something, but since it went away so quickly, I'm wondering if it was the car...

..drive it up North and let it sit in the snow for a few days, and see if that helps..

Never figured it out myself. I took it in for the TSB resolution I mentioned in the first post....that seems to help a little.

I only notice it about 50% of the time now. Running with the AC off all winter might have had something to do with it. Now that our hot humid Houston Summer is back, I expect the smell to return.

Is this covered by waranty? Or is it an option they will perform with a cost?

I posted this on an other post about a A/C smell problem. Maybe this will help.

I had the same probem, they couldn't duplicate when I took it in for service but they emptied and refilled the system and smell went away! Hasn't been back yet and it's been two months

That reminds me of the joke about a guy going to the gym with his buddy, and while changing clothes in the locker room his buddy notices he's wearing women's panties. "How long have you been wearing women's panties?" he asks. "Ever since my wife found them in my car!" was the reply.

that's bad. Actually it's the low front air dam picking up the stuff when the Stang pees it's pants at the light.

Just now at the dealer for another issue and he printed out the procedure on how to enable "afterglow" in the camaro. It does require a dealership module but fixes the problem
