Small oil leak maybe

What's up guys I'm new to this. I live in the houston humble area. But I have a question. Most of the time afte a drive longer than 30 mins or so I have a small amount of oil under my care. After a drive when I get out and look under the car I don't see anything but when I come out in the morning again I have a spot or two. Anyone can help me with this please and thank you

Check your oil cooler. There was a TSB on the oil cooler seal leaking when these cars first came out. Also check to make sure your oil filter is tight, and your drain plug.

I checked those and they seem fine. It looks like it could be from the oil pan maybe.

My car had the oil cooler leak. At first, I thought it came from a lower point on the engine, but after a closer look, I tracked it down to the oil cooler (which is higher up on the driver side of the motor). The leak trickles down and gets the bottom of the engine wet and it appears to be coming from the middle section.

What if it's on the passenger side?

If it's on the passenger side you may have either an oil pan gasket leak and/or a rear main seal leak. Both are extensive repairs. Take it to the dealer.

vclark6,

Welcome to the forum. We must apologize to read of your oil leak concerns. I understand that you're seeking thoughts and opinions (with several responses already posted), but send me a message if you want to take it a step further and get an official diagnosis. I will then reach out to a Customer Care Specialist at your desired dealer for additional assistance in these matters.

Sincerely,

To chevrolet customer service

I have a 2010 RS/SS low vin number and have a extended warranty for 8/2014 full coverage no deductable. I have drips of oil coming from the oil cooler. The dealer will not even look at it unless it is "Dripping on the ground". What can I do? Car has 14,800 mile only in 4.5 years. Any help would be appreciated.

There should be no visible leaks. So find a dealer that takes leaks seriously.

Why would any dealer refuse this work, I wonder? They get paid to do warranty repairs.

Definitely find another dealer. I had mine fixed last year and it was out of warranty. Its a TSB, warranty has no bearing.
