Trouble with the Law with Oracle Halos (California)

Hey guys,

Sure you seen me around the forums.

I installed Plasma Blue Halos over the weekend. Has anybody experienced problems with the police for having them installed?

I don't know about the police or the law but as a driver I find colored lights, extremely bright or ridiculous amounts of multiple lights shining in my face very annoying.

They will surely get you a ticket in N.Y. if they are not OEM.

Not trying to be a smart a$$, but why didn't you check with your local DMV and/or law enforcement before installing them. As a former CA resident & having grown up around LE, I can tell you with any blue/red lights on the front of your vehicle, there's a very good chance you will get pulled over.

You're not doing anything illegal as long as you still have high beams and low beams and the headlights are not red. But that doesn't mean that a cop won't pull you over and give you a hard time.

I would definitely think about scraping that Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep license plate frame though...it's fugly!!!

A lot of states have strict laws for having a 'blue light source' on the front of a vehicle. It could be a ticket or jail / impound the vehicle.

Looking at the pictures you are going to have a big problem driving at night with those on.

I think OP should make the halos so they flash, alternately between red and blue and add a light bar on top of his Camaro with red and blue flashing lights. Go big or go home!

Like others have said, blue & red lights are reserved for emergency vehicles.
