Does anyone know if the new 6th gen fuel doors can be modified to fit the 5th gen cars?

Why? You can buy custom fuel doors that are 5th gen specific.

And it prolly wont fit...you know, different vehicle and body lines.

Because i really like this fuel door. It's a step up from the ones for the 5th gen that's all. Yeah there's a couple for the 5th gen i like but not as much as this.

I'm sure it won't be too hard to modify.. Dremel the back to make it fit flush on the fule door arm .. probably use some really strong 3M tape or epoxy to make it hold on.. I've considered doing this mod as well

I was thinking that maybe it's the fuel cap that could be a problem too. I watched a guy on YouTube put it on his gen6 1LE it's the same color as my car and it looked good.

I think that 6gen fule door would definitely look.good on yours !..here isa few pics to show you the difference in the back..

Hey thanks that actually looks like it could work out. I'm not sure if the diameters are the same either. I think I'll call the place that custom paints them and ask some questions about the size and if they think it can be modified to fit

It’s the GM nichol plated door custom painted by RPI. I love it. Matches the color of my car and looks great.
