Did the dealer tricked me?

I have been to his dealership on sep- 10th for the 1st time.

The next week I was @ his showroom,
Dealer:The order was already placed.
Me: I didn't promise u yet.
Dealer: That model is common - we can sell it easily.
Me: After negotiations, payed him the advance. Go ahead and order my Camaro.
Dealer: Order usually takes 6-8weeks, as we already placed the order it may take a max of 5 weeks from now.(sep - 18th).

But u mentioned that he created an order today?

My dealer said he has been calling all day, leaving messages, but no call back yet.:(

Now, he said he just got a call back from the rail yard, the car is loaded, and will be here tomorrow!

I'll check back with you tomorrow morning to see if the status goes from 4B00 to 4200. That is I'm guessing once it loads onto a truck the status changes from bayed to shipped.

1 of 2 reasons -

1. they don't know any better and think that's going
to make you happy

2. my system hasn't updated and they called and got
that info from the Dealer Business Center.

I'm betting on 1, but you never know

Yes, shows 1100 status as of 9/25, so that would
be the date the order was created. Would matter
in this case that it's a few days later, the ordering
system was down last week so it wouldn't have
gone anywhere - no harm no foul in this case
