Mines just a fun car, weekends and after work. Its an M6 and have been told manuals are easier to get away with a more aggressive cam because it doesn't push thru the brakes like it can in an auto. Was looking at stage 2 already with very little to no chop custom camshaft.

Also csp video states 93 octane, no meth, no race gas, and no ethanol.

It's actually the opposite unless you are limited to stock converter. Auto cars with higher stalls can handle more cam.

You would think it would be ok but if been around for bit especially on fb pages you will see you get banned very easy. I got banned for mentioning trufiber when I posted a pic of my carbon and just answered a question on where I got it. Locally on the Htown camaro page all I did was mention sorian tuning when a specific member asked what the best shop down in the south area of Houston. It's ok though it's back fired on who ever did that they ended up losing a bunch of members.. I know it's not fair of one shop pays and one shop doesn't and both get to post. But not all shops are equal. To me having a shop that's well known in the country come on and offer advice even though there pushing there services would make your website more appealing.

I look at like this.. If a celebrity shows up at our golf course he's more than likely playing for free why, because it draw more membership to our club because they want to belong to a club where he comes play.

Interesting, this was m6 compared to a10 with stock converter, no upgraded stall. Didn't get an opinion from them if upgrading converter but good to know

That was my point. He is not going to be able to run as high a percent of ethanol if he adds a cam or pulley. And porting is only going to do a little. I doubt a port job in addition to his current mods will send him over 700. Now throw in some race gas and it'll happen. Again, I am not knocking his car or his build. But it is good to know the limitations before making a move. That way he can decide if it is worthwhile to go that route or to go a different route. Either way it is his choice. I mean, the car will be fast regardless.



This might be true. I know CSP does good work. But it seems that they all are on meth or race gas. Can it be done (750 RWHP with a full build on the LT4 blower) with just a chiller and on ethanol? And if so, is there anyone on here that has gotten that far?


For sure.


Or go with more displacement and run race gas and you'll exceed that without using meth. But then you're talking about a costly build. I think I know someone who is doing that.



Yes as i said, cam, heads, full boltons (no fuel mods) your in the 725-750 range. Ported stock blower on 93.

Heads, Cam, ported stock blower cars hit 700-750 all the time on 93. This isn't some revelation...been going on for years now my man.

here is one that made 714whp on 93... stock blower no porting back in 2017.

So the shop that dynoed my car said they did a heads/cam package on an a10 zl1 and its baseline was 570. After it was 630 to give you an idea what the gains are with a stage 2 cam on stock blower. Their dyno also reads pretty low, my results were 577 after full bolt ons, ported blower, 25% ethanol, high side falling off a cliff at about 35% e. I know you've seen my dyno results but just reiterating

I'm confused to what them being on here as to do with anything, this forum is a small population of Camaro owners.

Go on pretty much any ZL1 YouTube video from RPM or CSP and you'll see those numbers. Then you have the shops that aren't on YouTube doing the same thing like GPI or Pray. LMP put out a video doing 1,010 on the stock blower but I think that was with meth and a non-production CAI. 700 isn't a lot for a ZL1 anymore.
